Contract Manager – International Construction Project in Kazakhstan

About the role

The client is a leading international engineering and general contracting group delivering complex infrastructure projects worldwide. They are assembling a project team for a major new construction programme in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and need an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contractual matters throughout delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Contract administration and handling of contractual correspondence
• Reviewing and interpreting contractual obligations, risks and entitlements
• Managing variations, change orders and contractual notices
• Preparing, reviewing and supporting contractual claims
• Ensuring notice requirements, procedures and deadlines are met
• Identifying commercial risks and advising the project team
• Supporting subcontractor administration and contractual management
• Maintaining accurate contractual records and documentation
• Assisting with dispute resolution and arbitration preparation when required

Required profile

• Qualified Engineer, Architect, Lawyer or other relevant technical/construction professional
• 15+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 7 years in Contract Management
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Proactive, commercially aware and solutions‑focused approach
• Fluent English; Russian language skills are advantageous

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of contract management principles and procedures
• Good technical understanding of construction works and the wider project environment
• Experience with claims, variations, change management and contractual correspondence
• Practical knowledge of FIDIC contracts

What we offer

• Salary €60,000–€80,000 net per annum
• Accommodation, food, transport, insurances and flights provided
• 60 days on / 15 days off rotation, 6‑day working week, approx. 10 hours per day
