Senior Accountant, Office of Accounting and Tax (Temporary Assignment)

About the role

Nazarbayev University Research Administration (NURA) is looking for a Senior Accountant for its Office of Accounting and Tax. This is a temporary assignment covering the period while the primary staff member is replaced. The role covers accounting in line with international financial reporting standards, tax accounting and control over the institution's assets.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out accounting in accordance with international financial reporting standards
• Form the accounting policy of the Institution and monitor its compliance
• Settle transactions concluded by the Institution
• Control the availability and movement of the Institution's property, the rational use of material and financial resources and the safety of money and material values
• Handle tax accounting, form the tax accounting policy and control its compliance, plus other tasks assigned to the Division

Required profile

• Higher (or postgraduate) education in a relevant field
• One to three years of experience in foreign exchange operations

Required skills

• High level of PC literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Use of specialized software such as 1C and SAP
